Shipping Summary

We offer a variety of shipping methods, including 1st Class or equivalent, tracked and guaranteed time deliveries. We also offer a free shipping service on all orders that meet the criteria.

We aim to dispatch your item, where possible, within one working day once payment has cleared. We guarantee that all in stock items will be dispatched to you within three working days.

At GlitterGoth, we do our best to ensure that customers receive their items in a timely manner. Below is a rough guide to help you discover how long it normally takes to receive a parcel from us in your part of the world. While we would love to make this an ironclad guarantee, inclement weather across the globe and a busy mail season can lead to unforeseen and unfortunate delays. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the sales team.

Free Shipping Summary

The Free Shipping option becomes available at checkout if your order meets the following criteria:

  • It is being delivered to a UK address, your cart total is £15 or more. No weight restrictions apply;
  • It is being delivered to an International address, your cart total is £50 or more, the weight of your order is below 1Kg, and/or the combined parcel dimensions do not  exceep 90cm. All potential shipping charges will be shown at checkout.

Limitations of Free Shipping Offer Within the UK

The free shipping offer is limited to orders totalling £15 or more made within one transaction. Multiple orders of separate items paid for in separate transactions will incur standard shipping charges. One transaction split into seperate packages at the customer's request will be charged at the standard shipping rate.

We use First Class post or Recorded "Signed For" mail services as appropriate for the order.

Limitations of Free Shipping Offer Outside the UK

The free shipping offer is limited to orders totalling £50 or more (or equivalent local currency, based on the exchange rate at the time of purchase) made within one transaction. Orders totalling over £1Kg are exempt from the free shipping offer, as are parcels with packaged dimensions where the length + width + height exceeds 90cm. Multiple orders of separate items paid for in separate transactions will incur standard shipping charges. One transaction split into seperate packages at the customer's request will be charged at the standard shipping rate.

We use tracked international airmail services as appropriate for the order.

Shipping Method Details

All items will be packed in the most efficient manner possible to minimise postage while providing suitable protection for your items. The shipping estimate provided is based on these packaging assumptions.

While every effort is made to ensure that the shipping estimate is accurate, it is provided by an automated system and we reserve the right to cancel, suspend or alter an order or adjust the shipping method to the most appropriate alternative if this estimate is inaccurate. If these changes have an effect on the shipping of your order then we will attempt to contact you to resolve the issue.

If multiple orders are placed in a sufficiently small time frame then it may be possible to combine them to reduce postage costs. If this is the case then please contact GlitterGoth and we will do our best to help.

Shipping and Handling Within the UK

First Class, Tracked and Guaranteed Delivery options are available within the UK, but delivery may be subject to Royal Mail's limitations for outlying areas.

Orders under £15 are charged a standard shipping rate based on weight. You will be informed of your shipping total during checkout.

Orders of £15 and over are charged a standard shipping rate based on weight, and may be elligible for Free Shipping. You will be informed of your shipping options during checkout.

First Class/Recorded: We use First Class post or Recorded "Signed For" mail services where appropriate or by request. While these aim to deliver within five working days, this is not a guaranteed time-scale, and it can take up to fifteen working days for your purchase to reach you. If you do not receive your product in that time, then please contact GlitterGoth for assistance.

Next Day Delivery: If you choose Next Day Delivery on an order placed before 2pm then you should receive your parcel before 1pm the following day. This priority service excludes weekends and bank holidays, and priority services requested after 3pm on Friday will dispatch on Monday to arrive on Tuesday.

If Royal Mail attempt a delivery that requires a signature and you are out, and you do not arrange re-delivery of your item, then we will contact you once the item has been returned to us to discuss your options. If you fail to pick up a package that has had a delivery attempt to your door, then we will gladly offer a refund to you minus the postage charge where applicable. This does not include items using the Free Shipping option.

International Shipping and Handling

GlitterGoth provides shipping options for the majority of international destinations. These shipping options are based on Royal Mail's available services across the globe.

Orders weighing under 1Kg that are shipped to destinations outside the UK will be shipped by the appropriate Airmail method. The level of tracking varies by destination country. All Airmail deliveries are then delivered within the country by the local postal service.

Orders weighing 1Kg or over that are shipped to destinations outside the UK are charged a Parcelforce Global shipping rate based on weight. The weight of your order will always be displayed when you click "view cart". Items that are likely to tip the weight of your order over 1kg are: Walking Canes, Glassware, Large Bags and Large Decor Items such as Clocks.

We use International Track and Signed or Tracked mail services where appropriate. While these aim to deliver within five to seven working days, this is not a guaranteed time-scale, and it can take longer than this for your purchase to reach you.

Note: Shipments to some countries have been known to get stuck in customs for a period of time. GlitterGoth have no control over the shipment once it is dispatched and cannot be held responsible for delays due to customs.

Limitations of Liability

We will make every endeavour to deliver your order promptly, however we reserve the right to delay, suspend or cancel your order for any reasonable cause. GlitterGoth will not be responsible for any incidental loss or damage, however caused.

Once an order is dispatched then it cannot be changed, altered, or influenced in any manner by GlitterGoth. We are not responsible for delays due to bad weather, postal service issues, customs processing (for international orders) or other acts and events and will normally be unable to do anything to expedite the issues. Where an order is lost, we must be informed within a reasonable period of time (see Shipping Times and Estimates) so that we may attempt to address the issue with Royal Mail or other delivery partners within their window of support. We are not responsible for limitations to resolution when delivery issues are raised by the customer after this window.

We are not responsible for failure of delivery. If delivery is attempted unsuccessfully and you do not collect the parcel or arrange for it to be re-delivered then you may incur a restocking fee to cover postage costs.

While we attempt to provide our service to all countries, we may be unable to provide shipping to some nations and areas based on limitations placed by Royal Mail's international shipping options and other constraints and embargos. We attempt to keep our shipping lists in-line with those countries that we can ship to, but we hold no liability should we be forced to cancel an order due to a lack of shipping options or other constraints.

We are not responsible for any additional taxes or duties. Please see "VAT and Import Duty", below.

VAT (Value Added Tax) and Import Duty

Due to the current legislation in Britain, GlitterGoth is not VAT registered. This means that we do not have to charge our customers VAT. Instead, we pay the tax to our suppliers. As such, the prices on-site are all-inclusive. The only additional costs that may be incurred are shipping (where relevant) and import duty, which is calculated and charged by your nation when it crosses the border.

Imports into your country may be subject to import duty if you are not within the EU. You are liable for any duties that may be imposed. GlitterGoth cannot fabricate details on the customs forms to help you avoid duty charges.

Returns & Refunds

If you no longer require an item then please contact us as soon as possible, so that we can cancel your order.

UK Returns

Goods may be returned for any reason within seven days of the purchase arriving with you. In accordance with the UK distance selling regulations, any UK customer is entitled to a "no questions" refund or exchange within seven days of receipt. Please ensure that your purchase is returned in a fit condition for sale and with their original packaging (unsealed is acceptable, but please ensure any relevant tamper seals are undamaged.

Please contact us as soon as possible to inform us you are returning the item and put a note in with parcel explaining how you would like us to proceed so as to avoid delays in dealing with your return.

We recommend that you use a recorded delivery service for your returns. The cost of returning goods is non-refundable, and should be borne by the purchaser unless the item in question is damaged or faulty.

Overseas Returns

Important: Overseas customers returning goods from outside the EU must ensure that the packaging containing the returned items are marked clearly as RETURNED GOODS. Failure to do this may cause customs charges to be applied to the returned consignment.

In this event, GlitterGoth may deduct the charge from any refund due.

Pierced Jewellery Returns

Please do not remove pierced jewellery from its tamper-proof packaging if you believe you may wish to return it. Any pierced jewellery returned with the sealed bag broken can not be guaranteed as "new" for hygiene reasons and therefore cannot be resold, meaning that GlitterGoth incurs a loss.

Although a refund may be issued in this case, GlitterGoth reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings in the small claims court against the customer for breach of contract - as the customer is not returning the item in fit condition for re-sale.

Damaged Items

In the event of goods arriving damaged, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can arrange a refund or replacement.
